Waterland Outdoor Pursuits’ Lake 32, the forty-four-acre naturally fed lake, has released its ‘Early Bird’ offers for those looking to kick-start the New Year in style
The stunning lake, situated in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, is ideal for wild water swimming. It was recently rated as one of the best winter swimming spots in Britain by national newspaper, The Guardian.
The discounted offers include reductions for couples, families, adults and under 18’s.
The lake is approximately 3-4 metres in depth and is assessed annually by the Environmental Agency, meaning it’s the ideal place to take the plunge this winter.
Jo Pendlebury, director of training & development at Waterland Outdoor Pursuits, said “With New Year resolutions being set, fitness is top of the agenda. What better way to achieve this than to be outdoors and at one with nature? We welcome new members and look forward to welcoming back our existing members.”
The UK has its sights set on fitness and weight loss for 2020. In fact, it’s been released that 47% of Brits have said that their New Year Resolution is to improve their fitness or increase their exercise, whilst 44% want to lose weight.
Wild swimming has long been considered a tonic for body and mind, but recently, a study by the British Medical Journal has proven the positive impact that wild swimming can have on mental health. Some benefits include the reduction of stress, the reduction of inflammation and a sense of wellbeing.
The ‘Early Bird’ discounts include:
Under 18’s £30
First Craft £140
2nd Craft £60
Family (4) £300
1 Adult/1 Craft £175
Friends of Waterland Outdoor Pursuits

Memberships run for a full year, (with the exclusion of two days which are fully booked out for events and Christmas Day), giving 362 days access, which works out at less than a pound a day.
Suitable for triathletes, aquathon competitors and novice swimmers alike. Lake 32 has buoyed courses of 200, 400, 750 and 1,500 metres.
